Laura Baker, a Devon-born singer-songwriter now based in Cambodia, is carving her own path in music. Classically trained and with a rich history performing at prestigious venues around the world, Laura’s sound now blends classical influences with contemporary pop storytelling.
After years of running a youth music initiative in Cambodia, Laura has shifted her focus to writing and recording her own music. Her latest single, “In the Fire”, explores themes of closure and transformation. The track reflects on the challenges of moving on after a difficult chapter, where “flames rise” and “ghosts may linger,” but ultimately the journey leads to healing.
With all vocals performed by Laura herself, the track is produced by Euan Gray, while the powerful photography that accompanies the release comes from Kofi Oduro Kantabiri. “In the Fire” is a testament to Laura’s growth as an artist, blending vulnerability with strength and showcasing her unique ability to tell deeply personal stories through her music.
