In the summer of 1988, deep in the cornfields of rural Indiana, two teenagers dreamed of rock and roll glory. Guitarist Warren Bullock and vocalist Michael R. Crider were already making waves in their hometown scene with their band, Vice Versa. Fueled by passion, loud guitars, and teenage rebellion, the two cooked up what they jokingly called their “evil plan” — to record an album where they would play every instrument and handle every detail themselves.
They began writing songs that same summer, sketching out riffs and melodies that captured the restless energy of youth and the heart of classic rock. Then, like many dreams of youth, life intervened. Time passed. Years rolled by. The project sat untouched — a forgotten spark from a distant summer.
But great rock stories always find their way back to the stage.
The Return of the Dream: From 1988 to 2024
Fast forward to 2024. Bullock and Crider, now seasoned musicians in their fifties, found themselves rediscovering that same fire that once burned so brightly in those Indiana fields. The result? The electrifying debut album from their new project Lot Long, fittingly titled Long Time Comin’.
Recording kicked off in August 2024 with the blistering single “Cry Baby”, which set the tone for what would become a full-bodied, high-octane rock experience. Over nearly a year of work, the duo poured their hearts into every track, crafting a sound that’s both nostalgic and fiercely alive.
The second single, “Rain”, showcases their melodic sensibility and emotional depth — proof that while time may have passed, their songwriting instincts have only sharpened.
